The Reciprocity Foundation
Taz Tagore and her community have been doing amazing things in the social service sector here in New York City since 2005. They provide holistic health services for all including meditation, acupuncture, massage, yoga, trauma therapy, sound healing and community meals. It’s a safe inclusive place to heal, regulate and work though trauma.
In 2016 they were honored by President Obama for their work with the LGBTQ+ community. In 2019 they served over 300 New Yorkers, from survivors of domestic abuse to those facing illness, disability, gender transitions, immigration trials and homelessness.
My personal health has been tremendously impacted by a variety of holistic treatments, including those listed above. Everyone should have access to supporting their health and wellbeing even if they can’t afford it.
I’ll be providing craniosacral therapy treatments here one day a week, but I’m also committing to donating 5% of my monthly profits to The Reciprocity Foundation to support the continuation their beautiful work. I wanted to tell you, my community that by coming in for a treatment at Stillpoint Beauty you will be contributing to this foundation.
The term “community” is used a lot in the wellness world, but what does that mean in your life? Often times it can be a very specific group. My question for you and myself is how can we expand that? How can we create more inclusivity? Organizations like The Reciprocity Foundation inspire and lead the way of how we can do just that.
I’ll be continuing working on listening, and learning. This is the start towards what feels good to me. If you feel inspired, I encourage you to check out this Foundation to learn, donate further and participate in our collective evolution.
Love to you all!
